Rushford Fire Department understands during these unprecedented times, our children are making sacrifices as well.
Your child’s birthday means a lot to him/her, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, no school, social distancing and no groups larger than 10 has put a hault to such fun with friends and classmates! We want to help make his/her day extra special!
If your child will be celebrating a birthday during the government-ordered shutdown period, RFD will do our best to stop by your home, turn on the lights and sirens, and give a happy birthday shout-out (from a safe distance) to your child in hopes to make his/her day more memorable. (Please note – this only applies to our coverage area and emergency calls will take precedence.)
How do you get this set up? Call or text Chief Chad Rasmussen 507-459-0382. Please make sure to give a 48-hour notice so we can have a small crew lined up to make your child’s day a little extra special!
As volunteers, we will do our very best to make this happen.
