B & B Bowl and Restaurant
This past week, I was out restocking copies of the Visit Bluff Country Magazine at various locations. The B & B Bowl and Restaurant in Preston, Minn., is one of our busiest locations. They get a lot of traffic and therefore go through a lot of magazines.
During my travels, hunger hit me right around the time I arrived at “The B & B.” Perfect timing!
I ordered one of the daily specials, which was BBQ ribs, creamy cucumbers, potato salad and buttered bread.
They always have great food. One of my all-time favorites is the Falcon Burger, with a shot of A.1. Sauce.
If you’ve ever eaten at B & B Bowl and Restaurant, you know three things: 1) they give you large portions, 2) their food comes fast out of the kitchen for those who have a tight schedule, and 3) it tastes just like home-cooking.
Owners Paul and Shelly Hanson, and their entire staff, have many things to be proud of with their operation. They have earned “Best Breakfast” in multiple reader “Best of the Best” contests, along with many other accolades.
With their large operation, offering bowling, a bar, and a restaurant, they are an important hub for the community. A meeting place for early morning coffee drinkers. A place where birthdays and company parties are celebrated. And, with the addition of Serenity Hills Pavilion up on the hill just outside of Preston, the B & B has seen a good share of wedding parties.
The Hansons have attracted a huge following with their home-cooked goodness. Always worth a visit. As their slogan says — “B & B is the Place to Be!”

That looks good! I’m hungry for ribs now.
