Yoder’s Masonry Restoration had started tuckpointing work on the library/city hall building in early March. At the March 18 meeting the city council approved payment in the amount of $2,860 for work on additional areas found to be in need of tuckpointing.
This amount will add to previously approved quotes. It will allow Yoder’s Masonry to complete the tuckpointing process on everything from the building ledge down and from the library door to the council room door.
Tourism/Chamber Position
City Administrator Ryan Throckmorton reported that unfortunately, the city will need to begin the process again to find a Tourism/Chamber dDirector. Approval was granted to offer the position to Kristina LiBretto at the March 5 meeting. She has since decided the position was not a good fit for her for personal reasons.
Throckmorton said most all of the duties associated with the position are currently being done, as most of the Trout Day planning is complete and staff is working on the 2024 brochure.
Throckmorton recommended reposting the position the same as it had previously. The added cost of providing health insurance to the position for a 32-hour work week was discussed. Approval was given to repost the position as it had previously been posted.
