TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that the supervisors of Mayville Township, Minnesota, adopted the setback ordinance as written following the public hearing at the regular April 15, 2025, meeting.
In Mayville Township, there must be at least fifteen feet between the property line and the planting of any new wooded perennials (trees, conifers, bushes, shrubbery) or the planting of any personal non-commercial gardens. Any such planting that does not meet the 15-foot setback standards may be removed at the expense of the individual who planted them. Existing wooded perennials may remain but may not be replaced within the 15-foot setback. Commercial production agriculture crops and forages may continue to be planted, maintained and harvested up to the property line with the exception of fruit and nut bearing trees. The township will hold no responsibility in determining where the property line is, that is the responsibility of the property owners.
