Myrtle Hatlevig obituary, Fillmore county Journal

Myrtle Josephine (Holtegaard) Hatlevig, age 96, of Lanesboro, Minn., died Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Good Shepherd Care Center in Rushford.

She was born March 15, 1928, the daughter of Oscar and Minda (Benson) Holtegaard. She was united in marriage to Clair Hatlevig October 4, 1946. The couple farmed and raised their family in Arendahl Township. She was a faithful member of St. Charles Bible Church, and a volunteer at Camp Victory. Myrtle loved her savior and her family.

She is survived by her children Robert (Helen) of South St. Paul, Minn., Marlys (Pete Peterson) Hatlevig of Lanesboro, Minn., and Robin (Adrian) Toy and Cheryl Hatlevig, both of Eden Prairie, Minn.; daughters-in-law Barb of Winona, and Pat of Rochester, Minn.; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clair, and sons Don, Tom, Dick, Michael David, and twin boys.

Memorials are preferred to St. Charles Bible Church or Camp Victory.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Bible Church in St. Charles, Minn. Visitation will be Friday, September 27, 2024, from 4–7 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Home in Rushford, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at North Prairie Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lanesboro.
