The special meeting of the Rushford-Peterson School District #239 was called to order by Chairperson Chris Grindland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in the Forum Room.
Members Present: Chris Grindland, Matt Helgemoe, Jeff Michel, Ken Sawle, Nancy Snyder and Amy Woxland
Members Absent: Carl Schollmeier
Administration Present: Superintendent Ben Bernard
District Office Personnel: Laura Hahn
Motion by Snyder, seconded by Helgemoe to adopt the agenda. Motion carries unanimously.
2024 School Board Election Results (total# of votes received for each candidate) Matt Helgemoe – 1,543, Chris Grindland – 1,495, Amy Woxland – 1,462, Ken Sawle – 1,086, Marge O’Laughlin – 953 Write-ins – 82
Motion by Woxland, seconded by Michel to adopt the Resolution Canvassing Return of Votes of School District General Election. Motion carries with a roll call vote of 6:0.
Motion by Woxland, seconded by Snyder to adopt the Resolution Authorizing Issuance of Certificates of Election and Directing the School District Election Clerk, Laura Hahn, to perform other election related duties. Motion carries with a roll call vote of 6:0.
Motion by Woxland, seconded by Helgemoe to approve the Resolution Supporting Form A Application to the MSHSL Foundation. Motion carries with a roll call vote of 6:0.
Motion by Snyder, seconded by Michel to approve the Resolution Supporting Form B Application to the MSHSL Foundation. Motion carries with a roll call vote of 6:0.
