Mindy Albrecht-Benson
Candidate for Lanesboro City Council
1. Tell us about yourself.
I was raised in Lanesboro and spent my adulthood in the Twin Cities metro before relocating back to Lanesboro a little over four years ago. I am employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN as a principal data analyst. In the fall, I also spend time officiating high school volleyball.
2. Why are you running for office?
I have been on the city council for the past two years and am interested in continuing to be a voice for the residents of Lanesboro. I feel I bring a unique perspective as someone who was raised here and also someone who relocated here from the metro area. I am interested in having input into the future plans for our city – helping to ensure that we are using our limited resources wisely.
3. What do you hope to accomplish if you get elected?
My goals while on council have been to ensure the city is being proactive, that decisions are fact-based, that we are properly planning and prioritizing and that we are doing our due diligence and looking at multiple options in order to make the best decisions. If I’m elected, those will continue to be my areas of focus.
