Merrily Ann Dale, age 78, December 7, 1944 – June 16, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harbrand A. and Helen A. Rundquist and siblings Sue Bloberger and Bob Rundquist.
She is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Glenn Dale; children Pam Meixell (Chris), Denise Doyle (Mike), Daniel Dale (Kimberly), and Melanie Waite-Altringer (Brian); many grandchildren and other loving relatives.
Born in Minneapolis, Minn., she earned a cosmetology license, was employed by Ben Franklin, Fingerhut, Berman Buckskin, Princeton and Bremer Banks, Commonweal Theatre, with her last and favorite job being a bailiff at the Preston Courthouse. She loved selling her quilted goods at craft fairs and entering them in county and state fairs, gardening, babysitting grandchildren, and had a passion for ice cream.
Memorials preferred to Preston Christ Lutheran Church or Preston Food Shelf. A Celebration of Life service honoring Merrily will be held on June 25 at 2 p.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, 509 Kansas St. NW, Preston, Minn. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Refreshments will follow the service.
Merrily has graciously donated her body to research through the Mayo Clinic’s Donor Program.
