In conjunction with a coach’s clinic each summer, the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association held its annual All-Star game on July 25 featuring the girls that were named All-State the previous school year. In past years, only graduating seniors were allowed to play in the game. This year, however, underclassmen that made All-State were included. There were two teams of seniors and one team of underclassmen (called “The Futures”). Addyson McHugh, a recent Spring Grove graduate, was on one of the senior teams. Will-be junior Sahara Morken from Mabel-Canton was on the Futures team. Cougar coach Lonnie Morken was selected to coach the Futures team. In the round robin format McHugh’s team went 2-0, Morken’s team went 1-1, while the other senior team finished 0-2.
