Marilyn Kleist obituary, Fillmore county Journal

Marilyn Sue (Jolly) Kleist, age 76, of Rushford, Minn., died Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.Marilyn was born April 2, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of Edward and Myrtle (Abbott) Jolly. Marilyn was united in marriage to Richard Kleist in Midwest City, Okla., and to this union three children were born. The couple later divorced. She married John Kleist March 29, 1997, in Rushford. Over the years, she worked for Herff Jones, TRW, and Riverside Electronics. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. She loved family get-togethers, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband John of Rushford, children Tina (Wayne) Brevig, Curtis (Mary) Kleist and Sam (Marilyn) Kleist; grandchildren Dawn (Nate), Heather, Nazeeh, Rachid, Duane (Catie), Blaine (Erin), Arun, Daniel, Amanda, Mia and Mateo; great-grandchildren Jason, Megan, Zack, Hailey, Bradley, Audrey, Jake, Cora and Saphira; sibling Bural Jolly, sister-in-law Linda Jolly, brothers-in-law Henry Kleist, Arthur Kleist and Kenneth Lanik; many nieces and nephews, and special friends Steve and Shawn Gorder.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Patricia Geisler and Ronald Jolly, sisters-in-law Ruthie Kleist, Joanne Lanik and Eline Kleist.

A visitation will be Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Home in Rushford. Interment will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery.
