The Mabel-Canton FFA chapter has been busy helping around the community and is now preparing for the activities we are doing during FFA week. Every year officers choose fun dress up days for kids to do every day and this year they are; Tuesday: battle of the brands (Carhartt vs. Wrangler), Wednesday: Country music singer day, Thursday: Fleet Farm dads vs. Yoga moms, and Friday: Blue, gold, and FFA wear.
Along with dress up days the FFA will be hosting a food can drive all week for the Mabel food shelter.
On Thursday we will have our annual FFA petting zoo. This year we will have a lamb, dog, goats, calf, chickens, and rabbits.
FFA members and officers will also be going into elementary classes to give kids a little bit of insight about what life is like on the farm and answer any FFA questions possible future members might have.
On Friday the FFA will be hosting the second annual supporters and farmers breakfast at the Mabel Community Center. This breakfast is to help give the farmers in our community a small break and show our appreciation. Also on Friday, the high school will participate in the Olympics and the team at the end of the day with the best score will go head to head with a teachers team.
The M-C FFA thanks you for your dedicatino to agriculture. Thank you for supporting Mabel-Canton schools and the FFA program!
