Lorraine Brown, 84, of Caledonia, Minn., went home to be with her heavenly father on May 9, 2025. Lorraine was born to Ethan and Leona Wuethrich on February 14, 1941, in Evergreen Park, Ill. She grew up with older siblings Rex and MayMay (Leona) and younger brother Roger. Mom, also fondly known as Granny, was the epitome of Love. Not sure if being born on Valentine’s Day had anything to do with it but, she was full of love. Whether you knew Mom for a lifetime or just a few minutes, you always received a hug and felt loved. Mom’s life revolved around her family. No birthday, graduation, wedding, play or small celebration went unnoticed. She was always there – front row, beaming with pride – making each of us feel like the most special person in the world. Her presence was a constant comfort and her unwavering support was felt by every generation. She had a gift of making everyone feel seen, heard and cherished. Her legacy is not only in the traditions she passed down but in the way she loved – whole heartedly and without condition. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all of her family. Lorraine’s strength and hope came from knowing Jesus Christ as her lord and savior.
Lorraine is survived by her children Robert (Amanda) Brown of Caledonia, Minn., Bonnie Feine of Caledonia, Minn., Lauri Bauer of Rushford, Minn., David (Marnie) Brown of Rushford, Minn., Pamela (Matt) Miller of La Crosse, Wis., Jeffrey (Billie) Brown of La Crosse, Wis., and Amy (Shawn) Smith of Caledonia, Minn.; grandchildren Stephanie, Jacob (Monica), Josh (Bethany), Jenna (Chad), Justine (Isaac), Nick (Alison), Emma (Tyler), Halle (Tristin), Cora (Mason), Mackenzie, Jonathon (Wendy), Emily (Scott), Elisabeth, Josiah (Pat), Daniel, Susanna, Colby, Noah (Cam), Rylan, Adam, Aubrey, Ashley (Tyler), Jessica, Samantha (Aaron), Shauna (Yaren), and Alex (Savanah); 23 great-grandchildren with two on the way; one great-great grandson, brother Roger (Theresa) Wuethrich of Watseka, Ill., many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
