Letter to the Editor – Letter about going “postal”…

February 15, 2021 by Fillmore County Journal

Letter about going “postal”…

To the Editor,

I was in the Harmony Post Office lobby today with my double masks and conducting my business with a lovely gal that is a frontline worker and risks her health and safety every day working there.

In walks a man in his mid-to late-60s with no mask. I politely said, “I’m sorry sir, but could you put on a mask?” (There is a sign on the door requiring masks.) He immediately started to yell at me that, “I’m a Republican and I can do whatever I want. Joe Biden is going to bankrupt this country.”

I said, “This has nothing to do with politics, this young woman here is exposed to people all day and you’re being selfish.” He kept yelling at me and was not interested in a word I said. I promptly left… not wanting to be exposed to COVID!

I was stunned. I have never had a moment in Harmony where someone was so directly rude. I am guessing he didn’t live in our friendly town, but I’m not sure.

This is a perfect example of the brainwashing that has gone on for the last four years. And the biggest result is an out of control pandemic. The doctors and scientists say that there might be another surge next winter because of all the new variants of COVID. They are predicting 40,000 more deaths by the end of February.  This is completely avoidable if people wear masks and socially distance and wash their hands and most importantly, 85% of Americans need to get vaccinated.

Unfortunately, there are people out there like the person I ran into who might think they care, but they truly don’t.

We absolutely have to take responsibility for our neighbors’ health and safety. For goodness sake; this has nothing to do with politics.

Please be careful and know none of us are in this alone.

Would you jump off a cliff if they told you to do that also?? There is no reason to wear a mask, COVID-19, stands for Certification Of VaccinationIdentification Document-1(A) 9(I). Ai stands for Artificial Intelligence. . Turn off the ,TV, listening to the Main Strem Media,(MSM) and search out some Truth! ALL you will get from MSM is COMMUNIST PROPAGANDA!
