Letter about an electable candidate…
To the Editor,
Electing a responsible person to be First Congressional District Representative is important. In these days of culture war distractions and heavily promoted propaganda we need someone who is serious about solving real problems that affect us all. Out of the many primary candidates there is one who seems best equipped and most able to attract responsible voters from across our centrist district.
Jeff Ettinger is the retired Hormel CEO from Austin running for the DFL endorsement. I don’t agree with all of his positions, but he strikes me as a serious, thoughtful, rational leader who understands the threats to our democracy. I encourage you to consider his campaign and to vote for him.
Your special primary ballot must arrive at the Fillmore County Courthouse by 8 p.m. on May 24, 2022.
