Letter about voting…
To the Editor,
I am writing to ask everyone who is eligible to vote in the upcoming referendum being held in Preston this November 7 to do so. Voting will be held at Fillmore Central ISD #2198 District Office, P.O. Box 50, 700 Chatfield St., Preston, Minn. 55965. Hours are 5-8 p.m. only.
If you are homebound and unable to get to Preston you can vote by mail. Just go onine at sos.mn.gov and fill out an English absentee ballot application. Fill it out and mail it to the address above and they will mail you an absentee ballot.
Time is getting short, you must act quickly to ensure your vote counts. Although the number of studetns in the school district are continuing to decline, these past three years of inflation have meant that costs have not declined. So, dig deep and be sure to vote. “It’s for the children.”
