To the Editor,
Once again, we’ve been treated to a personal, anti-Democrat rant by Stan Gudmundson, without hearing anything about what his Republican Party actually stands for. It used to be fiscal conservatism, a strong military, a well-kept infrastructure.
But according to Gudmundson, its really about anti-women’s rights, anti-LGBTQ, anti-immigrant, anti-Native American, pro-fossil fuels, pro-guns, pro-unrestrained police powers, anti-schools, anti-peoples right to choose as their recreational drug one which is far less dangerous and lethal than alcohol and tobacco, and anti-state spending on the people’s priorities.
Not to mention, the Republican Party is the victim of the self-serving actions and words of the criminal Donald Trump. No sane person will vote to put him back in office, and everyone riding on his coattails deserves to lose their offices and positions, as well.
Remember the letter I wrote you a while back, requesting that only positive and reasoned statements be accepted for publication?
It’s the election year now. Time to solicit statements that tend to unify, rather than repetitive denigration of the beliefs and politics of the majority by those who have no better ideas to present.
P.S. Hooray for Siri Corson and her plea for sanity!

Alima has been watching too much of Biden’s speeches. When he comes out of his basement. I wonder if Biden will show up on 2-2-2024 like the groundhog? Liberals like “free speech” as long as they agree with what is said. I know the Mn DFLer’s gave voting rights to murders. I wonder if they ever thought about the voting rights of the person that was killed. Some felons should be able to vote after serving their crime, but I draw the line for murders. But what do I know. I am just a “white colonizer.” along with all of the other “isms” the DFLer’s apply names to that they do not agree with. So much for “unity”.

I think Alima has been listening to Biden speeches too much. I guess she is “unifier” like Joe Biden claims to be. I wonder how long the MN hospitals will last when illegals get free health care, and the hospital run up huge financial losses and have to close. A business cannot take losses forever and expect to survive, or the business has to raise fees/income to offset those losses. I know insurance companies and they are businesses. They will just stop paying for procedures/visits, etc. I bet the DFLer’s will just raise taxes on the rest of us like they always do. Basically, throwing money at a problem and hope it goes away is not a solution. I was a banker for 38 years and throwing good money after bad is not the solution. On another note, I was open allowing felons to vote, but I draw the line on murderers. Did the DFLer’s ever think of the voting rights of the person that was killed? They are too busy worrying about the flag being too “offensive”, use of proper pronouns, etc. I Maybe the DFLer’s should learn from history’s past mistakes instead of trying to change it all of the time. I find lots of things “Offensive”. Like art, it is a matter of opinion. But per the DFL party, I am now a white colonizer to go along with all of the other names they attach to people their party does not a agree with.
