To the Editor,
I miss the old normal but I’ll get used to it. I miss rubbing elbows with people at work. It was nice to be able to stop by someone’s cube to see if they wanted to go to the cafeteria for a cup of coffee. I miss the news. I used to read the Spring Valley Tribune for the casual entertainment of it. I could read about real people in my community. It was kind of like reading Facebook but with professional journalists. The Tribune was quickly sold when COVID hit. The Post Bulletin is only published a couple times a week now. It seemed like it was more interested in promoting ideals anyway so I don’t really miss that much. TV news… enough said. I don’t like wearing masks so I miss shopping and going out at least until it’s legal to do so.
I imagine the Marxist groups that are behind some of the new normals would say that I’ll get used to it. I used to go to church on Sundays but since it’s against the law to do so without a mask I miss that too. Oh well, I’m getting used to it.
