To the Editor,
This year, more than ever, there is a need for donations to your local Salvation Army. Donations made locally provide services to Fillmore County residents. Consider making a donation in your community at one of the following opportunities:
Bell ringing for the Red Kettle will occur in Preston at F & M Bank and then Preston Foods on Friday, December 18 from 9 a.m – 7 p.m. In Spring Valley a kettle will be at both Sunshine Foods and Ace Hardware from now until Christmas.
This year counter kettles can be found now through Christmas at the following locations: First State Bank, Canton; BP gas station, Lanesboro; Rushford State Bank; Burdy’s Café, Peterson; Wolf’s Den, Ostrander; Goodie’s & Gas and Wykoff Coffee & Confections, both in Wykoff; First State Bank of Fountain; Farm & Home, Mabel; and in Preston, F & M Bank, B & B Bowling Alley, and BP-Motor Mart gas station.
In addition to cash or checks into the kettles, there are also electronic pay options on-line at: bit.ly/3e8e1aG.
Mail-in donations can be made by sending to F & M Community Bank, Box 467, Preston, Minn. 55965. Make checks to Salvation Army – Fillmore County. Your donation will be credited locally and used for Fillmore County Thanksgiving and Easter baskets, “Shop with a Cop” program, as well as covering crisis needs for families such as shelter, rent, or fuel. Approximately 88% of the money you donate stays in Fillmore County with the remainder funding regional needs.
Please consider a donation this year.
Sincerely, Salvation Army Unit
