Laurine Beverly Woxland, 100, of Rushford, died Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Bremmer Suites, due to the infirmities of age.
Laurine was born November 19, 1923, in Oak Ridge to Henry and Clarice (Olson) Larson. She graduated from Houston High School. On October 4, 1942, she married Donald Woxland in Houston. Laurine worked for 10 years at Camera Art in Lewiston. The family were members of the Rushford Lutheran Church. For many years, Laurine was a member of the Rebecca Circle.
After her children left home and her husband retired, they began to travel. Their travel’s included Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Morocco and many American states. They also became snowbirds spending the winter months in Mesa, Ariz.
Laurine enjoyed golfing and playing bridge as well as reading and bingo throughout the years.
She is survived by her two children, Stephen (Kathleen) Woxland and RoxAnne (George) Scott; grandchildren, Matthew (Brandon) Vaagsland and Kelly (Saul) Wainwright; great-grandchildren, Leiv, Kasper and Karsten Vaagsland, and Eyala and Ezra Wainwright; two sisters-in-law, Lois Larson and Donna Larson, as well as her caregiver and friend these last several years, Nikki Bunke and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 2019, parents, two brothers, LeRoy and Verdale Larson and sister, Harriet Millie.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Rushford Lutheran Church, with the Reverend Steve Chellew officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service – Rushford, and one hour prior to the service at church. She will be laid to rest at Rushford Lutheran Cemetery.
