Kyle Lee Eide, 61, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, at University of Minnesota Fairview Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
Kyle was born October 11, 1964, in Winona, Minn. He spent his younger years growing up in Rushford, Minn. Most of his teen years were spent living in Harmony, Minn., and he graduated high school in Minneapolis. He worked doing automotive body repair and maintenance at apartment complexes in Minneapolis. Kyle had a love for cars and motors. If it had wheels and a motor, it captured his attention. In Harmony, he could be seen riding a unicycle around town or doing laps around the house on a go-cart or scooter. In 1997 he decided to turn his life around and joined AA. He was proud to have had 29 years of sobriety.
In 2020, Kyle underwent a double lung transplant. He had five good years after that but fought a hard battle the last few months. We were blessed to have had that extra time with him. Our appreciation goes out to his donor family for they too lost a loved one.
Kyle is survived by the love of his life, Jennie Jongeward (her son Lawson); his dad, Stanley Eide and stepmother Kathy Eide; brother Kevin (Bev) Eide, stepsister Suzie (Greg) Reyerson, stepbrother Tracy (Audrey) Alfson; children Matthew Conner, Nikki (Lucas) Moreault, and Shawn Eide; and grandchildren Kadence, Karley and Tristan.
Kyle is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Nila and Jim Ouska, niece, Penny Eide, and his grandparents, Melford and Cherrie Eide and Roy and Hazel Peterson.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
