Kingsland Community Education prides ourselves on our commitment to provide quality educational opportunities and getting your child off to a great start. Kingsland has a variety of programs to offer to families with children of all ages: Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), preschool program, School Age Childcare (SACC), and a variety of enrichment activities.
ECFE is a public school program for all families and children from birth to kindergarten enrollment. Parents and children are welcome to participate in ECFE programs. ECFE is based on the idea that the family provides a child’s first and most significant learning environment and parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. ECFE works together to strengthen families. Class will provide parents and child interaction time. This is a time designated to enhance parent child interaction and your child’s learning. Parents will have the opportunity to engage in a discussion with other parents on research based topics on early development and parenting. This group is led by a parent educator. It is a great time to connect with other parents of young children. During the parent discussion, your child will enjoy some learning through play. A licensed Early Childhood Educator will provide your child with fun activities that enhances development, creativity, and imagination. The program also has themed family events with school readiness activities, speakers on various family topics, and other special events and celebrations geared towards families. For more information about our events and classes please visit our website at www.kingsland.k12.mn.us/page/3634.
