Julie K. Sveen

Julie K. Sveen, 61, of Rushford, Minn., died on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford.

Julie was born on September 20, 1957, to Melvin and Muriel (Hildestad) Sveen in Harmony, Minn. She was a 1975 graduate of Peterson High School in Peterson, Minn. She worked at Rush Products in Rushford for many years. Julie was a member of Whalan Lutheran Church in Whalan, Minn. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, collecting piggy banks, stuffed animals and most of all, spending time with her family. Julie was a caring, loving person who liked to joke. She was also known for her infectious laugh.

Julie is survived by her brotherĀ  John (Rhonda Brekke) Sveen of Preston, Minn.; two nieces, Rachel (Matt) Bernard of Stewartville, Minn., and Cheyenne (Brandon) Baumgartner of Mantorville, Minn., and one nephew Isaac (Shaai) Sveen of Byron,Minn.; three great-nieces: Isabelle Bernard, Ella Baumgartner, and Ariah Sveen; and two great-nephews, Elijah Sveen and Beau Baumgartner. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jeffrey.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Julie from 1-3 p.m. on August 4, 2019, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Rushford. Burial will be in the Whalan Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home or Whalan Lutheran Church.
