Jimmy Darold Smith, born April 12, 1950, precious child of God, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 11:57 that night.
We thank you for sharing your love with us for your 73 years here on earth. We look forward to joining you in Heaven when Jesus calls our name. We rejoice knowing that your spirit is free now, soaring with Jesus and the angels.
Jimmy worked in various jobs in the Spring Valley area. He was an avid motorcyclist and a very knowledgeable woodsman. He enjoyed animals, hunting morel mushrooms and spending time with family and friends. Jimmy loved being around people and telling stories and jokes.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Barbara of Spring Valley, only son Jayson (Tracey), only granddaughter Hailey (J.J.), and his sisters and brothers Ruth (Wes) Ferris, Linda (Allen) Comstock, Danny Smith, Sherry (Kevin) Horsman; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents Gerald and Virginia (Schmidt) Smith, and brothers Denny Smith and Curtis Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Spring Valley Community Center.
