Jeffrey Scott Copeman

Jeffrey Scott Copeman, 60, of Chester, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at his sister’s home in Menahga, Minn.

Jeffrey “Jeff” was born March 19, 1961, in Rochester, Minn., to Walter and LaRonna (Miland) Murphy.  He graduated from Wykoff (Minnesota) High School then worked in the logging industry for many years.  On December 30, 2015, he was united in marriage to Mary Holmes in Chester, Iowa.

Jeff was a hard-working man.  He loved his logging jobs.  He loved being outdoors.  Gardens were his passion and he had a wonderful way with flowers; his gardens were amazing. He loved making wood benches, shelves, tables, etc.

Jeff was a very caring man and was loved by all.  He will be greatly missed.

Jeff is preceded in death by his wife Mary, parents Walter and LaRonna, and his brother Steve.

He is survived by his son, Charles Copeman of North Carolina; daughter Leah Copeman of Indiana, sisters Cindy Wright of Florida and Donna Murphy of Menahga, brother Tom Copeman of Georgia, grandchildren Charles Copeman Jr., David Copeman, Daniel Copeman, Aurora Holmes, Bobby Ustrom Chester, and Candace Marra; plus other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Park Rapids.  Condolences for the family may be left at ceasefuneralhome.com.
