Jason Resseman Candidate for Lanesboro Mayor

October 17, 2022 by Fillmore County Journal

Jason Resseman

Candidate for Lanesboro Mayor

1. Tell us about yourself.

My name is Jason and I live in Lanesboro with my wife and daughter. I have served on the Lanesboro City Council for eight years, four as mayor. I am employed at Drury’s Furniture as a design consultant and have 25 years’ experience as a business owner.

My free time is mostly spent with family and my daughter’s school and extracurricular activities. We appreciate all of the benefits of living in Lanesboro including our safe community, spending time with friends and enjoying the wonderful art activities, bike trail, river and nearby hiking this great town has to offer.

2. Why are you running for office?

I thoroughly enjoy and am committed to making a positive difference for our community and businesses. We’ve accomplished a lot these last few years from restoring our beautiful dam, ensuring we have an operable waste treatment facility, improving our infrastructure and numerous other efforts that support our citizens. All of this was achieved with a great deal of collaborative work from elected officials, staff, commission members and of course our exceptional citizens and business owners. I am running for mayor to continue this momentum of positively maintaining and enhancing our municipality projects with proven leadership and experience.

3. What do you hope to accomplish if you get elected?

If elected I would continue to advance Lanesboro efforts by listening to the community, working with our council members and community and meeting with both state and national elected officials to secure funding for much needed infrastructure improvements. We’ve already raised $40M for our improvements but more needs to be done. I would also continue efforts to support our businesses and attract families to this wonderful community we all love.

I would appreciate your vote. For more information please visit “Vote Jason Resseman for Lanesboro Mayor’’ on Facebook.
