LeRoy-Ostrander/Lyle-Pacelli football wrecked Westbrook-Walnut Grove 55-6 to improve to 2-0 on the year. The Cardinals got pick sixes from Carter Sweeney and Reid Hungerholt. Sweeney also caught two scores. Kingsland (1-1, 1-1) rebounded from a loss to L-O/L-P by smacking GM 58-16. Kaaleem Reiland threw four TD passes on just five attempts, Zach Reiland topped 100 yards on the ground, and Michael Johnson had three total TDs. Rushford-Peterson (1-1, 1-1) put 35 points up on Faribault B.A. in the first quarter in a 47-6 win. Caden Johnson accounted for three total TDs. Chatfield’s Lexi Kivimagi was individual champion at the Hayfield cross country meet. Caledonia volleyball stayed TRC perfect with a 3-0 sweep of La Crescent/Hokah. The Warriors (6-2), Chatfield (5-2), and Lewiston-Altura (7-2) top the standings as each is 3-0 in TRC play. GM’s Hallie Hendrickson had 25 (asts) and four (aces) versus Southland, and Kendall Jack seven aces versus G-E, both Lark sweeps. Benita Nolt had 16 kills as L-O topped L/P 3-1. Kendal VanMinsel had 18 assists and 15 aces, Jordis Neeley had 10 kills and nine aces, as Spring Grove gave up just 11 points in sweeping Schaeffer. Paisley Robinson had 25 digs as Kingsland topped G-E in five sets. R-P volleyball went 3-0 at the four-team Lake City tourney. It was their first three wins. Josie Foster scored four goals but Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston girls soccer fell to PEM 7-5. They did rally with a 1-0 victory over Mankato-Loyola behind Siri Konkel’s goal.
