Rushford-Peterson senior Rylan Schneider pitched the Trojans (2-1, 2-1) to wins over FC/L 8-1 and W-K 3-2, as he gave up just two earned runs in 12 1/3 innings pitched (1 BB, 12 K). Caden Boyum had 10 strikeouts and got the win (in five innings) as Chatfield beat W-K 11-1. Westin Nolte gave up just one earned run in collecting the win as the Gophers beat PEM 6-1. Morgan Rohweder struck out 14 in six innings and got the win as Houston beat G-E/AC 3-2. Noah Mundfrom had 3 RBIs as GMLOK beat Houston 12-5 and hit a solo home run as the Bulldogs lost to Cannon Falls 12-2. Brandon Jahnke went 4-for-4 as Spring Grove topped Triton 13-2. Julia Swenson went 4-for-4 with 3 RBI as Houston softball beat G-E/AC 11-6. The Hurricanes went 3-1 on the week to improve to 4-0 in the SEC, 4-2 overall. Hailee Warren hit an inside-the-park three-run home run as GMLOK beat L/P 20-0 in four innings. Cassandra Boyum had 4 RBI as R-P beat SG 12-8 in a game with 18 walks. Shelby Tresch hit a solo home run but R-P then fell to W-K 7-2. Caledonia/Spring Grove’s Fischer Wait compiled three firsts as the PEM Meet, winning the 200 and 400 individually while helping the 4×200 (Owen Staggemeyer, Eli Staggemeyer, Gabe Curley) win that event in a speedy early-season time of 1:30.31. Chatfield’s 4×200 won state last year in a time of 1:29.43. GMLOKS’ Lexy Foster claimed the Shot Put and Discus titles at the Stewartville “Glen Amundsen” Invite, her second meet of sweeping both throw events. GMLOKS guys distance runners also fared well, as Tate Georgen (800) and Carter Glynn (1,600) won individual races while the 4×400 (Nathaniel Drees, Glynn, Georgen, Erik Shaw) and 4×800 (same foursome) also took first. Chatfield’s Lexi Kivimagi won the two girls’ long runs (1,600, 3,200) at the meet. Lanesboro’s Kaden Stettler (38) and Jack Brogle (39) each shot sub-40 in the Burros’ golf win over Kingsland.
