A June 24, 2024, community appreciation event, hosted by MiBroadband at the Harmony Public Library Patio, turned out to be an evening to remember. The celebration brought together local leaders, families, and friends to celebrate fiber broadband access throughout the community. Highlights of the evening included a congratulatory message from Jeanne Poppe, U.S. Senator Tina Smith’s Senior Regional Outreach Director and a congratulatory letter from U.S. Senator Klobuchar was shared.
The event created a festive atmosphere filled with lively conversation, games, ice cream treats from the Fillmore County Dairy Producers in celebration of June Dairy Month and multiple demonstrations were available spotlighting MiBroadband products and services. As part of the evening’s festivities, MiBroadband proudly announced that all residents and businesses would receive our new broadband speeds, enhancing the digital connectivity of our community.
A program was held to celebrate MiBroadband and the Community of Harmony’s Smart Rural Community Designation. A Smart Rural Community is made possible by fiber-based broadband providers and their active communities committed to driving growth and creating opportunities that help their communities thrive. A Smart Rural Community Certificate was presented to Councilors Kingsley, Grabau and Himlie on behalf of the city of Harmony, recognizing it as a community connected by fiber, committed to economic development, driving growth and creating opportunities.
In a gesture of appreciation for their customers, MiBroadband announced an exciting surprise: fiber broadband speed upgrades for all current subscribers. This enhancement will ensure faster internet connections, improving access to education, entertainment, and remote work opportunities.
“We believe that connectivity is essential to modern life,” stated MiBroadband’s CEO, Jill Huffman. “This upgrade is our way of saying thank you to our customers for their loyalty and to support the growth and prosperity of our community.”
