Gratitude to the First President
Greetings Mr. George Washington,
I wanted to thank you for all you did for our country. It’s clear with history books that you were a strong, noble, honest man and leader. It is also clear that you loved freedom and lib¬erty which is what you and the founders built this country on.
You were and still are very important to this country and its people. You were a great leader who was courageous and unafraid of the future. Did you expect your people would like you so much that they made you the first president of the United States Of America? You even have your portrait on the one dollar bill. Did you think you’d be so popular among your citi-zens? You are treated with great respect here in America.
This country would not be here today if it wasn’t for you and the other founding fathers, including Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, and many more. You men risked your lives for freedom and the future of our country. Did you know you’d be in the greatest battles of American history? Did you think you’d live to see this country free? You are still loved and admired by your country and the American citizen today.
Sincerely,
Thatcher Roddy
