On October 24, Jamie Jeffery Rabe, 46, of Fountain, appeared before District Court Judge Jeremy Clinefelter. Rabe is charged with Domestic Assault – Commits Act With Intent to Cause Fear – Two Prior Convictions and, Domestic Assault – Inflicts or Attempts to Inflict Bodily Harm – Two Prior Convictions. Each is a felony with maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both. On or about October 22, police officers responded to a house in Fountain for an alleged domestic disturbance. A victim alleged the defendant shoved her to the ground while also grabbing the victim by the neck. A witness corroborated this occurred. The defendant’s blood alcohol level was allegedly 0.19 and one of his probational conditions is that he cannot drink. Rabe has been convicted for misdemeanor domestic assault in Dodge County in 2021 and misdemeanor 5th Degree Domestic Assault in Fillmore County in 2022. The defendant also pleaded guilty to felony domestic assault on September 30 and his sentencing is scheduled for December 2.
