On September 18, Mikki Marie Anderson, 37, of Lanesboro, appeared before District Court Judge Jeremy Clinefelter. Anderson is charge with three drug related felonies; 3rd Degree – Possess – Methamphetamine/Amphetamine in School/Park/Public Housing Zone, 5th Degree – Possess Schedule 1,2,3,4 or Paraphernalia Residual – Not Cannabis/Hemp, and Store Meth Paraphernalia in Prescence or Child or Vulnerable Adult. The first offense carries a maximum criminal penalty of 20 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine. The later two offenses each carry maximum criminal penalties of five years in prison and/or $10,000 fines. On or about September 13, a Preston police deputy was dispatched regarding a dispute where the defendant allegedly would not leave another person’s apartment. The reporting party alleged Anderson had methamphetamine. A bag was allegedly discovered containing a white crystalline substance later tested positive for (0.6 grams of) methamphetamine. Anderson first allegedly admitted, then denied, it was her bag. The apartment is within 300 feet of an elementary school.
On October 4, Lonnie Jerome Lee, 65, of Rochester, appeared before District Court Judge Carmaine Sturino. Lee is charged with four felonies; Stalking – Engages in Stalking, two counts of Harassment – Third or Subsequent Violation Within Ten Years, and Harassment; Restraining Order – Violate Within Ten Years of the First of Two Previous Domestic Violence Convictions/Adjudications. The first three offenses each carry maximum criminal penalties of 10 years in prison and/or $20,000 fines while the latter offense carries a maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine. On or about September 14 through September 26, a victim contacted a Fillmore County Sheriff’s investigator regarding a restraining order violation. The defendant allegedly texted, called, and left voicemails for a victim. Said victim is protected from the defendant by a Harassment/Restraining Order that was filed June 27, 2022. It prohibits the defendant from having any direct or indirect contact with the victim. Lee has three previous HRO violation convictions (same victim) from October 2022, a prior Violation of Restraining Order conviction from August 2016, and was convicted of assault March 23, 2015.
