On July 6, Evan James Richardson, 37 of Canton, appeared before District Court Judge Jeremy Clinefelter. Richardson is charged with Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, a felony with a maximum criminal penalty of three years and one day in prison and/or a $5,000 fine. On or about June 14, a Fillmore County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to pull over the defendant for likely registration-related infractions, when the defendant allegedly sped away in his motorcycle from the officer at a high rate of speed.
On July 18, Jamie Jeffery Rabe, 44 of Fountain, appeared before District Court Judge Carmaine Sturino. Rabe is charged with two counts of Felony Domestic Assault – Commits Act with Intent to Cause Fear (Two Prior Convictions) and Intentionally Inflicts Bodily Harm (Two Prior Convictions). Each carries a maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison, $10,000 fines, or both. On or about July 16, Preston’s police chief responded to a residence in Fountain for a domestic disturbance. The defendant allegedly got physical with a family member (including punching in the stomach, grabbing by the neck, and partially running over with a car) when said person allegedly tried to prevent the defendant from driving while intoxicated. The defendant was allegedly later found at the bar (preliminary breath test of .238). Rabe has previously been convicted for Domestic Assault in Dodge County and Misdemeanor 5th Degree Assault.
