On May 23, Owen Christopher Prevost, 22 of Spring Valley, appeared before District Court Judge Jeremy Clinefelter. Prevost is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a felony with a maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine. On or about May 21, within the city of Spring Valley, a Fillmore County sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Kwik Trip for a person hunched over in a vehicle. Allegedly found in the vehicle with the defendant were 48 individual pills that later tested presumptive positive for the presence of a controlled substance.
