On November 29, Lonnie Jerome Lee, 64, of Rochester, appeared before District Court Judge Matthew J. Opat. Lee is charged five times with Harassment; Restraining Order – Violate Within 10 Years of First of Two Previous Domestic Violence Convictions/Adjudications and once with Harassment; Restraining Order – Violate Within 10 Years of First of Two Previous Domestic Violence Convictions. All six felonies each carry a maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison and/or $10,000 fines. From November 14 thru November 19, the defendant allegedly, on multiple occasions, tried to make contact with a victim through calls, texts, and social media. A Harassment Restraining Order was issued on June 27 and is effective until June 27, 2024, which prohibits the defendant from having direct or indirect contact with the victim. The defendant had previously been convicted in Olmsted County for Violation of Restraining Order (2016) and for assault (2015), and he currently charged with three separate H.R.O.s’ with the same victim between September 7 and August 11 (2022).
On December 12, Davonte Jovan Adams, 27, of Spring Valley, appeared before District Court judge Terrence M. Walters. Adams is charged with Attempted Burglary – First Degree – Dwelling – Occupied – Non-Accomplice Present, a felony with a maximum criminal of 20 years in prison, a $35,000 fine, or both. On December 10, the defendant allegedly broke a window to an occupied home trying to get in.
