• Board approved the telecommuting agreement for Jason Wetzel, an Income Maintenance Eligibility Worker
Resource Recovery:
• Kroening reviewed the proposed 2024 Sanitation Department budget
Finance:
• Board approved the 2022 Audit from Clifton Larson Allen
• Board approved publishing the State Auditor-approved version of the 2022 Audit based on the legal bid from the Fillmore County Journal
• Board approved moving the balance of Fund 80 Taxes and Penalties balance as of 12/31/2022 in the amount of $131,468.51 to the County General Fund as of 1/1/2023 as recommended by Clifton Larson Allen
• Board approved granting the Finance Director the authority to enter ICS- Insured Cash Sweep or CDARS agreements with the local banks for the funds for the County
Human Resources:
• Board approved hiring Kimberly Stier, as a Paralegal at Grade 9/Step 1: $25.29/hour; effective September 6, 2023, as requested by the County Attorney and Hiring Committee
• Board approved a temporary Eligibility Worker as requested by the Social Services Director and Personnel Committee
Administrator:
• Board approved Paybook #4 for the Jail project per Construction Manager, Contegrity Group
Highway/Airport:
• Gregg reviewed the proposed 2024 Highway budget in detail, Kohn was present to assist in answering specific questions regarding his area
• Schroeder reviewed the proposed 2024 Airport Department proposed budget
• Board approved the recommendation by Schroeder to purchase more robust option presented from RDO, the Metal Pless MaxxPro 1048-20 push plow with wings from RDO in the amount of $42,000.00 funded by the Airport CARES dollars
Attorney & Public Health:
• Corson and Pohlman reviewed the changes to the Hemp Ordinance for Public Hearing
• Board approved a Public Hearing on September 26, 2023, for the amendments to the Ordinance; the public hearing will be published in the Fillmore County Journal and on the Fillmore County website- All amendments will be highlighted from the original ordinance, and it will also be on the County website and available for the public
Administrator:
• Hillery discussed the proposed 2024 levy based on the presented budgets
