he annual meeting of the 4-H Horse Project was held on November 14, 2016 in Preston. Members and parents gathered for their annual business meeting, which included a presentation by Extension Educator Nicole Pokorney, business matters of the coming year, and election of youth and adult County 4-H Horse Project Officers. New youth officers are: President Heather Apenhorst, Vice President Maddie Smith, Secretary Kjersta Hinz, Treasurer David Goddard, and Historian/Reporters Skyler Check, Mikayla Vande Zande and Chase Ketterhagen. New adult officers are: President Deb Haugstad, Vice President Lynn Hinz, Secretary Shannon Goddard, Treasurer Melissa Ketterhagen, and Historian/Reporter Shanalee Erwin. The Fillmore County Horse Project will hold its Annual Awards Banquet, Tack Swap and Potluck dinner on Sunday, January 29, 2017. All 4-H horse project members are welcome to attend. The next regular business meeting will be on Monday, February 13, 2017.
