Preston Police Chief Blaise Sass reported that at 10:13 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, Marshall Rolfs, 26, of Preston, Minn., was arrested in the city of Preston for possession of a large amount of suspected methamphetamine. Chief Sass responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near the post office in Preston, and upon investigation, observed suspected methamphetamine in plain view near Rolfs, who was in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
Along with Fillmore County deputies and the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team, Sass executed a search warrant on the vehicle and recovered one-half pound of suspected methamphetamine and over $5,000 in cash. The estimated street value of the suspected methamphetamine was $6,500. The vehicle, along with the suspected methamphetamine and cash were seized by law enforcement. Rolfs is currently being held in the Fillmore County Jail pending court appearance.
