A common family activity in Bluff Country this time of year is to take a drive along the scenic byways that meander through the countryside, along the majestic bluffs and the rivers and streams, and through historic downtowns. Travelers will be in awe of the vibrant fall color palette and the overlooks where you can see for miles and miles. Don’t forget to stop and enjoy one-of-a-kind restaurants, unique attractions, quaint stores, and town celebrations.
The prime time for fall colors in Bluff Country is typically the second week of October. Since nature is not predictable, the folks at Minnesota DNA track the change in colors ensuring that you don’t miss out and share their findings on www.dnr.state.mn.us/fall_colors. Sign-up for instant text and email updates on your phone. Neighboring states also offer the same service.
