Dennis Lloyd Deters, 78, of Spring Grove, passed away on December 17, 2023, after a long battle with heart disease.
Dennis was born on April 23, 1945, to Lloyd and Alice Deters.
Farm boy, fisherman, hunter, straight A student in college, Marine Corps machine-gunner (Vietnam), logger, exporter, pilot (5,000 hours PIC from coast to coast and from the arctic to South America), smuggler, max-security federal prisoner, lawyer (not “member of Bar” but 18 wins in the U.S. Supreme Court), inventor (five U.S. Patents), goat farmer, loving son of his dad, Lloyd Deters, loving husband of Tatiana, loving father of nine children, their spouses and children and proud “in-law” with his extended Russian Family.
Dennis is survived by his wife Tatiana, children Richard, Daniel (Anitra), Fritz (Aga), Franz, Ivan, Anastasia (Eric), and Alex; four grandchildren, brother Pud (Carmie) and sister Kathy (Tony); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Heather, son Douglas, and niece Cory.
Memorial service will be held on his home farm on July 26 at 2 p.m.
