Dale W. Schunke, 84, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023. Dale was born on April 11, 1939, to Oscar and Edith Schunke. Dale graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1957. He was confirmed and married at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Spring Valley to Ruth Lindholm.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1962, and retired in 1982. He and Ruth settled down in Tucson, Ariz., to be near Ruthie’s twin brother Robert (Bob)Lindholm.
Dale was preceded in death by the “love of his life” Ruth Lindholm Schunke, his parents, his sister Beverly, and his brother Gerald.
He is survived by his “baby sister” Gloria Schunke Harth of Balsam Lake, Wis., and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Dale will be buried at the Spring Valley Cemetary in Spring Valley at a private funeral at a later date.
