Cross Country (9/21)

Pine Island Meet (Z-M/K-W’s boys (45) topped Pine Island (55), K-M (72), Byron (107), Lourdes (114), Jordan (117), and GMLOS (194). Z-M/K-W’s Caleb Kevan (16:10.3) and Christian McCutcheon (16:13.9) took first and second. Ethan Schnable took 22nd (18:13.2) to lead GMLOS. Forty-nine boys competed. Byron’s girls (23) topped Jordan (51), Lourdes (72), PI (108), K-M (141), Z-M/K-W (153), and GMLOS (185). Byron’s Dayna Baune (18:58.6) took first over Jordan’s Minka Hage (19:15.8). Audrey Main took 26th (22:30.1) to lead GMLOS. Forty-seven girls competed. Both 5,000-meter races were run at PI’s Golf Course.)

Lake City Invitational (Stewartville’s boys (39) topped Pacelli (35) followed by W-K (87), Austin (94), Lake City (132), La Crescent/Hokah (166), LFC (170), and PEM (208). Tiger Nolan Schatz (16:09.1) topped Pacelli’s Zemecha McManus (16:14.6) for the individual title. Quinn Lepper (17:49.9) took 25th to pace LFC. Fifty-nine total guys competed. Lake City (60) and Goodhue (60) tied for first with the Tigers winning on sixth runner tie-breaker. Stewartville (98), Austin (115), L/FC (117), PEM (149), LC/H (153), W-K (188), and Kingsland rounded out the teams. LC/H’s Maya Bartosova (18:20.1) and Hope Docan-Morgan (18:37.6) took first and second. Autumn Rakosnik (18:49.7) took fourth place and Grace Kingsley (21:33.4) 25th place for L/FC. Fifty-eight girls competed. Both 5,000-meter races were run a Hok-Si-La Park in Lake City.)
