In the Monday, August 17, 2020, issue of the Fillmore County Journal, there was a guest commentary submitted by Jane Peck titled “Electing politicians who care about people’s lives.” In Peck’s commentary, she said that State Representative Greg Davids doesn’t have “experience or work in teaching.”
State Rep. Davids offered the following correction: “Regarding Ms. Peck’s commentary, I have a degree in education, specifically in the social sciences. I also had a driver’s education certificate. And I coached football, basketball, girls softball, and wrestling. I taught driver’s education at Mayo Senior High School in 1979. I taught the social sciences, driver’s education, and coached in Homer, Neb., during the 1979-1980 school year. I coached and taught school at Ellendale-Geneva schools in Minnesota from 1980 to 1982.”
