Members Present:  Mayor Benson Council members O’Donnell, Ryman, Volkman, Linder

Staff Present:  Clerk/Treas. Zacher, Administrator Chladek

Notices and Consent Agenda: 28th Annual Parade of Lights – 12/14/24 presented by Merchants Bank; approval of claims and fund summary report; approval of renewing General Legal Services with Flaherty & Hood; approval of renewing Prosecutorial Legal Services with Wieser Law Office.

Report from Stephanie Egger, Rushford Peterson Valley Chamber of Commerce (RPVCC) update on 2024 activities.  Contract with RPVCC renewed; same services, same cost.

Resolution acknowledging $800.00 donation from Lions Club to Public Library for large print books.

Approve recommendation of EDA to adopt the Rushford Revitalization Incentive Program (RRIP) designed to provide grants to new lessee’s that fill vacant commercial space and contribute to the local economy.  $2,500.00 grant is in the form of Valley Doe, an RPVCC program that encourages local spending and can be renewed for up to 4 years contingent upon meeting certain requirements.  Grant is taxable revenue to recipient.

Updates:  website updates and additions in the works; new PWD employees training at treatment plant, lift stations, well house, parks and winter equipment readiness; PWD ready for holiday with tree, star and light poles; PWD trimming bluff road trees; PWD obtained “sludge-judge” tool to measure WWTP clarifier to verify proper operations; Fire Dept. held annual meeting for current and retired firefighters with video presentation highlighting various fire training and Relief Association fund raising activities; Fire Relief planning for gun raffle activity in February; New ambulance rig going through last check up in Los Angeles then to Rochester for final fitting of other equipment, electronics, wrapping, Ambulance will never be without a rig to respond to calls during the changeover.  New heater coming for ambulance garage; Ambulance personnel putting together training videos.
