NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Preston City Council will hold a public hearing on May 18, 2026, at 6p.m., at the Preston City Council Chambers, Preston, Minnesota, to consider the abatement of diseased and nuisance trees located on private property within the City.
This action is being considered pursuant to Preston City Code § 92.02 – Tree Diseases. Properties identified as having diseased trees may be subject to removal and assessment of associated costs.
Property owners have the right to appear at the hearing regarding the proposed abatement.
If a property owner fails to take corrective action, the City may proceed with removal of the diseased trees and assess the costs against the property.
