Cheryl R. Miller obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Cheryl R. Miller, 77, of Preston, Minn., died on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Mayo Clinic- St. Marys Campus in Rochester, Minn.

Cheryl Rae Benson was born on September 5, 1946, in Preston, Minn., to Edward and Mary (Henke) Benson. She graduated from Preston-Fountain High School in 1964. After high school, Cheryl worked for the phone company in Preston for 30 years. She later worked at the Preston IGA grocery store for over 20 years. She married Edward Miller on November 6, 1965, and together they had three sons: Mike, Dan and Joel.

Cheryl is survived by her sons Mike, Dan and Joel Miller, all of Preston; brother Richard (Virginia) Benson, brother-in-law Bruce (Sue) Miller, many cousins and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, brother Ronnie Benson, brothers-in-law Steven Miller and Ronnie Miller, sister-in-law Gladys Miller, and her mother and father-in-law Paul and Florence Miller.

Visitation for Cheryl will be from 12-2 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the United Methodist Church in Preston.  The committal service will be held at 3 p.m. following the visitation, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, with Pastor Mark Woodward officiating. 

The Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home of Preston is assisting the family
