A motion to post for a Community Development Director was approved at the October 14 city council meeting.
Councilors had approved the advertisement for both an EDA director and a Zoning Administrator at the September 9 meeting. The closing date for these postings was September 30. Due to the fact that no applications were received for the Zoning Administrator and three for the EDA director, City Administrator Michele Peterson requested opening and posting for the position of Community Development Director. The 40 hour per week position would be responsible for both Planning & Zoning and Economic Development related activities.
This hire will report to the city administrator and will communicate with the city council, Planning & Zoning Commission, EDA, city staff, along with citizens, developers, contractors and local, state, or federal agencies.
