Charles Willford Gebert (Chas) passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2023.
Chas was born on June 20, 1986, to Charles and Rosanne (Hall) Gebert at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born prematurely, spending four months in the hospital, before going home to Burnsville. Chas arrived into this world too early, and he left too soon.
Chas was a curious, inventive, fun-loving young man, had a deep appreciation for nature and cherished his time spent outdoors. He was an avid hunter, forager, gardener, and fisherman. He graduated from Burnsville High School, where he made many lifelong friends.
Chas was always willing to lend a helping hand — no matter the task, he did whatever he could to help anyone.
Chas is survived by his parents Charles and Rosanne Gebert, his sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Brett Larsen, many aunts and uncles: K. John Hall, Steven and Joann Hall, Trudy and Fred Horihan, Christine and John McMichael, Steve and Kim Gebert, Jane and Chuck Guerin, as well as many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Elinor and Kenneth Abraham, and Kerneth Hall, Kermit and Beth Gebert, and uncle Byron Hall.
A private celebration of life will be held later this summer in southeast Minnesota, among the rolling hills that Chas so dearly loved.
