Harmony will be hosting a bloodmobile at the Harmony Community Center, 225 Third Avenue S.W., from 1-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Walk-ins will once again be accepted, but donors are encouraged to make an appointment. Masks will not be required for those who have been vaccinated, but it’s possible non-vaccinated donors will still need to wear one. If you don’t have one of your own, one will be provided by the Red Cross. All donors will be required to provide identification before donating, so please remember your donor card or driver’s license.
RapidPass (redcrossblood.org/RapidPass), which is a tool that allows the donor to complete the reading and question portions of their donation from their home or mobile device, is also encouraged. This must be done the day of the blood drive and printed out to bring along, or it can now be done on a mobile device and shown when they come to donate.
Typically, all healthy men and women who are at least 16 years old and weigh 110 pounds or more are eligible to donate blood. Donors who are 16 must have the written permission of a parent or guardian. Parental consent forms will be available on the day of the blood drive.
There is no upper age limit, and the time commitment is minimal.
To make an appointment, please call Marilyn Bratager at 507-937-3406 or schedule one online at http://www.redcrossblood.org/.
