Amish Buggy and Vehicle Crash North of Canton

According to Fillmore County Sheriff John DeGeorge, Fillmore County Dispatch received a 911 call of a vehicle vs Amish buggy crash at approximately 3:59 p.m. on June 20. The crash occurred on County Road 21 at the intersection with 130^th Street. The buggy was occupied by four people; the driver of the pickup was the lone occupant. According to the investigation, the buggy was traveling east from 130^th street onto County 21. The pickup swerved to avoid the buggy and struck the horse, which was killed in the crash. No occupants of the buggy were injured; the driver of the pickup sustained minor scrapes. No one involved in the crash required medical attention.
