Alan Breitbach

January 5, 2022 by Fillmore County Journal

Alan Breitbach obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Alan F. Breitbach, 87, of Caledonia, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 15, 2021.

He was born January 17, 1934, to Frank and Mary Ellen Breitbach. On September 3, 1977, he married Dorothy, and they were married for over 43 years until she preceded him in death.

Al enjoyed being a teacher and later working for many years on the Milwaukee Railroad as a foreman until his retirement. He loved fishing, gardening, and teaching all five of his grandchildren how to drive and teasing them. Above everything, he loved his family.

He is survived by one son, Roger (Donna) Pearson; one daughter, Sonja Renk (Will) Hicks; five grandchildren: Leslie (Peter) Kittleson, Tracy Pearson (Kail) Dvorak, Nichole (Craig) Hahn, David (Marisa) Pearson, and Michael (Brianna) Renk; nine great-grandchildren: Emelia and Vivian Kittleson, William and Anthony Hahn, Sean Pearson, Ella Harter, Parker Bode, and Lennon Renk; two sisters, Ann Becker, of Iowa, and Arden Breitbach of Washington.

Alan’s smiles, teasing, many stories, and his huge sense of humor will be sadly missed.

Private services are being planned. Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory in Caledonia are assisting the family with arrangements.
